Joel Arnold
President
Joel Arnold earned his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, and is currently pursuing a D.Ics. from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana. He taught for nine years at Bob Jones Memorial Bible College in Manila and now teaches theology, exposition, pastoral preaching, and various ministry courses.

Bud Talbert
Theology Faculty
Pastor Bud Talbert earned his B.A., M.A., and M.Div. from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. He planted Foundation Baptist Church in Calgary, Alberta, in 1988 and faithfully pastored the congregation for twenty years. He now teaches courses in church history, biblical exposition, and theology to equip future ministry leaders.

Daniel smitley
Academic Dean and Dean of Students
Daniel earned a B.A. and M.A. in Biblical Language and Literature from Bob Jones University and is pursuing a PhD in Theology. His M.A. thesis was Giving a Little Background: A Critique of Michael Heiser’s Use of Biblical Background in Scripture Interpretation. He will transition into full-time faculty and administration beginning in August, 2026.

Brian Collins
Brian earned his Ph.D. in theology from Bob Jones University’s Seminary and Graduate School of Religion in 2011. He currently serves as the Biblical Worldview Lead Specialist with BJU Press in Greenville, South Carolina, supporting biblical integration across their curriculum.

Desiree Talbert
Desiree Talbert earned a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in dramatic productions and an M.A. in English Literature (Bob Jones University) and a TESL certificate. She worked as an English instructor in Shanghai for 15 years. Desiree teaches English literature courses.

Alan Patterson
Alan completed his B.S. at NC State and later earned both his M.A. and Ph.D. from Bob Jones University. He planted a church in Nagoya, Japan, and now serves as a regional director with Gospel Fellowship Association Missions, where he guides leadership development initiatives.

Michael Miller
Michael earned his B.A., M.A., M.Div., and D.Min. in Expository Preaching from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. He serves as pastor of Foundation Baptist Church in Calgary, Alberta, providing faithful preaching and guiding the church’s ongoing ministry work.

Kevin Williams
Kevin holds a B.A. from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, and an M.Div. from Heart of America Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. He serves as Senior Pastor of Meadowlands Baptist Church in Alberta, where he provides faithful leadership and pastoral ministry.

Matthew Rowley
Matthew holds an MDiv from Canadian Baptist Seminary and a PHD in Historical Theology from McMaster Divinity College. His dissertation was on John Strachan’s Political Theology and Practice. Matthew is the president of Training Leaders International Canada.
