– The Debbie Talbert Memorial Fund was established in 2023 in memory of one of the key founders God used to establish Foundation Baptist College. The fund continues to receive designated donations. Debbie believed deeply in the mission of the college and desired to see many men and women trained for God’s glory. Donations are received to increase this funding and worthy candidates receive scholarships from time to time on the basis of the following:

– Demonstrated financial need that makes studies difficult or impossible

– Demonstrated diligence and Christian character

– Demonstrated readiness to learn and study at Foundation Baptist College

Worthy recipients are identified by the recommendation of the faculty and administration.

Each year, Foundation Baptist College awards a merit-based bursary to the top participants in Alberta’s annual Bible quizzing. These scholarships recognize diligence, biblical knowledge, and disciplined study while encouraging students who already demonstrate alignment with the mission and values of the college. The top two quizzers, province-wide, receive a full scholarship for the Christian Worldview Certificate (30 credits) and the next three quizzers receive a half-scholarship (15 credits).

Because mission is also critical to the values and emphasis of Foundation Baptist College, we have electively chosen to charge discounted tuition to students in the developing world. These prices are determined by adjusting for local GDP per capita relative to our costs and the GDP per capita in Canada. The final prices are determined through consultation between administration and local believers in that country. This scholarship is not available unilaterally but is extended to students whose diligence and Christian character qualifies them as recipients, on the recommendation of the faculty, administration, or the board.
